Anoushka Shankar, an Indian-born British American artist and a sitarist, is well known for her songs. She was the first person within her age bracket to receive the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shankar is a rising star on sitar music. Indian sitar. She is Ravi Shankar's student as well as his daughter of Ravi Shankar. Born in London in 1982, and spent her early years shuttling back and forth to London as well as New Delhi. Her debut concert was at New Delhi at the tender 13 years old. When she moved to Encinitas the state of California, in 1999 she earned the high-school diploma. The career of Anouskha as a musician and performer is impressive, despite her youth. Since quite some time, she performs regularly alongside her father. In 1998, she debuted her first self-titled album Anourag. The Grammy Award-winning album Live at Carnegie Hall was released two years after her debut solo album. She has performed at most famous venues throughout the world. Anoushka Shakar's career isn't restricted to just music. Bapi: The love of My Live is her 2002 memoir, that was a tribute to Ravi Shankar. She also acted on film in 2003. Her role was as a Bharat Natyam dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka is still progressing on her path and will surely be other things to be expected from this talented woman. Anoushka Shankar is a British native who lived her early days split between London, Delhi and California. Anoushka Shankar started her musical studies at age nine. After four years she performed her sitar debut in Delhi for her father's 70th birthday party. Anoushka had the opportunity to acquire many valuable experiences as she traveled with her father on his world tour. It included performances at Carnegie Hall and at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD concerts and recording alongside George Harrison. To honor her position as a leading musician of Asian Arts, she was given the House of Commons Shield by British parliament.
